Tarrant Regional Water District Grant

In 2017, Trinity-Neches SWCD partnered with Tarrant Regional Water District to administer a grant program for practices combating nutrient run-off into Cedar Creek Lake.

Producers may receive:
- $60 per acre of lime applied according to recommendations - maximum of 50 acres eligible ($3,000 total)
- $25 per acre of legumes planted according to recommendations - maximum of 50 acres eligible ($1,250 total)

Eligibility Criteria:
- Property must be located in the Cedar Creek Watershed
- Landowner must be a Trinity-Neches SWCD Cooperator (if not, agreement can be signed)
- Landowner must have a Conservation Plan (if not, one can be developed)

Payments will be made after all receipts, weight tickets, and/or seed tags are received for seed and lime. All nutrients must be applied according to a recent soil test (less than one year old) and applications must meet NRCS specification.
